7th Non-Violence day and Mahatma Gandhiji Birthday celebration 2016
Nataraj Youth Cultural Organization celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday and international non-violence day on October 2, 2016 in the region of Huron County Museum.
This event was attended by many honorable guests and speakers. The program started with the president and founder of NYCO, Chintan Bhavsar who welcomed all the esteemed guests and explained the importance of this day. It was then followed by a speech by the Mayor of Goderich, Mr. Kevin Morrison. The rest of the speakers included a representative from Mr. John MPP Lisa Thomson’s office, Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa from the Multicultural Association Perth Huron and Mr. Kaushik Patel Clinton. While celebrating the event, a short film was also screened on life of Mahatma Gandhi.
Received Message from the Consulate General of India Mr. Dinesh Bhatia and MPP Dr. Raymond Cho. The speeches were followed by a customary Gandhi style peace walk around the Goderich, Court House.
